Treasurer’s Report: Request for Budget Amendment
o Cm. Jones moved MOTION amend FY 2019 budget by moving $2500 from Direct Office
Costs line item to Communications Cost line item. (It was agreed my commissioners that the
$500 would remain in Direct Office Cost line item, 2

Application of Stanton Rd SE LLC, pursuant to 11 DCMR Subtitle X, Chapter 9, for a special
exception under the new residential development requirements of Subtitle U § 421.1, to
construct a new, three-story, 22-unit apartment building in the RA-1 Zone at premises 2604-
2610 Stanton Road, S.E. (Square 5869, Lot 84). (Current address is incorrect development is
across the street from Macedonia Baptist Church)
SPEAKER: Naresh Malkani of IPLUS REALTY, INC.: Discussed project with the community and
commissioners and answers all questions and concerns of the audience including: floorplans,
parking, and building materials to be used.

Department of Transportation: Community Updates and Initiatives
SPEAKER: DDOT Director, Jeff Marootian: Provided updates and discussed safety in 8A in
relation to Vision Zero and ANC request lists submitted to DDOT. Addressing community and
commissioners concerns regarding their respective SMDs and 5G questions. Introduced public
to DDOTs community engagement liaisons Josh Clark and David Jones.

Office of the Mayor Muriel Bowser: MOCR, Kornelius Anderson provided updates 8A initiatives
and constituent concerns based on core team walk through with DPW, DCRA, DDOT, Dept of
Health, and Office of Unified Communications
Office of Councilmember Trayon White: (Rep. had to leave to due to time delays).
Commissioners Announcements: Commissioner announced upcoming events and SMD
meetings.
Commission Announcement: Updated and Status of ANC Sub-Committees (ABRA, Economic
Development, Public Safety Committee, Education, Community Outreach and Transportation)-
Tabled due to time restraints.
Community Concerns: Community member expressed neighborhood concerns (including trash and
mattress at MANNA’s development site.
Public Announcements: Community members announced upcoming events and business opportunity
programs including: DDOT Safety Community Meeting and ANC SMD-8A05 on July 27, 2019.
