Community Presentation:
Department of Parks and Recreation: Community Updates and Initiatives
SPEAKER: DPR’s Director, Delano Hunter: Mr. Hunter gave update on the current projects and
initiatives currently in pipeline for DPR and its delivery of capital improvement projects including
pending renovations and establishments of new recreation centers e.g., the proposed Ketcham
Recreational Center with 15-million dollar budget.
Ward 8 Woods: Organization Updates and Initiatives in Ward 8
SPEAKER: Mona Rayside: Spoke about current projects and initiatives.
Community Concerns: Community members expressed concerns about the selection and planning of the proposed
Ketcham Recreational Center.
Public Announcements: Community members announced upcoming events and opportunities for
for Ward 8 residents.
